Animal Gang by Ghostface’s YAPPBio
Animal Gang is a new rap collective comprised of individual and collaborative hip-hop acts. They’re signed to Ghostface Killah’s YAPP City Records. Each member is from Long Island and bonded by community and culture.
Animal Gang was eponymously birthed by the mouthpiece of the group, Pilly Rothstein. During incarceration, Rothstein religiously exercised twice a day. Fellow inmates followed his regimen and Rothstein called their workout group ‘Animal Gang’. Years later, the rap group Animal Gang sought a name after an amazing and united first studio session. Have we crossed the line in Stan culture? YouTuber sues the attacking Barbz and may file against Nicki Minaj.
Stan’s use their super fandom to pledge allegiance to their favorite artist. Whether they’re in the Beyhive, Army, Swifties, or whatever other supergroups, their love and appreciation for a celebrity goes beyond the norm. Their volatile nature has them going from annoying to attack, and the most aggressive Stan group, the Barbz, may have crossed the line and met their match.
Over recent years, there’s been debates and commentary over Nicki Minaj’s Stan group. Their obsessive behavior has been of concern as they continuously dox people who speak out against their favorite female rapper. What makes matters worse is that the Barbie Queen subtly enables her Stans by liking their problematic tweets. This group doesn’t appear to be a group of fans, but a hate group that violates the privacy and safety of users who are entitled to opinions that don’t favor Onika Mirage. (Read more)

Salesforce is a cloud-based software that helps companies track their work, analytics, and company data. This cloud works efficiently for individual and collective projects. Algonquin is switching our CRM software over to Salesforce to improve both the visibility and quality of data within our departments. This will allow us to avoid duplicate information and get real-time updates on marketing funnels.
Salesforce CRM is a feature that Algonquin Marketing Team and Algonquin administration will utilize. Salesforce CRM is like our previous CRM software (ZOHO), but with a hands-in approach to B2b/B2C marketing. Algonquin College will use Salesforce CRM for communication and analytics in support of scaling Algonquin College’s attendance and credibility. (Read more)

National Economic State vs Voter Satisfaction: Did we do it, Joe?
When reading news covering the elections, and even seeing memes about Joe Biden’s presidency today via social media, there is an overwhelming indifferent tone around his election win. Many people’s driving point to vote for Biden was to “get Trump out of office”. The actions and rhetoric taken after voting in November 2020 led to Biden winning the election. Financial strife has been brewing in the United States over the past decade, as debt increases and global power shifts. However, how much does the president-elect play in this? How does our national economic status affect voter satisfaction?
Biden ran his election with many promises, so much so that politifact.com is actively tracking both Biden’s promises and the progress of each process. Out of the 54 promises made by our current president, 12 promises were kept, and none were broken so far. The remaining 42 promises are in the works. Whether or not this is acceptable in the public eye after almost a year in office will reflect in voter satisfaction stats. Since this spring, young adults are already changing their approval based on this U.S. News article. (Read more)

This organization is seeking funding to support one of Dream Defender’s programs: Free the Block. This initiative started because Dream Defenders noticed a need in the criminal justice system. This organization operates in Miami, Fl and notices the pipelines to prison enacted on black and brown people in this city. One way black and brown people are oppressed by the justice system is through holding. Many people of color cannot offer up bail money and their loved ones do not have the means to come up with the funds either. That leaves people who would otherwise be free, locked up and losing their life to imprisonment. (Read more)
