Soulection + Radio debuts Untitled 001

Joe Kay, the founder of Soulection, brought his musical collective and Sound.xyz together, for a first-ever musical experience like this to the blockchain. Soulection is the 11-year-old musical group of DJs and other creatives that produce and perform their original work internationally. They have a cult-like following, as people flock to their music and shows to get great house/dance/electronic music that values the artist just as much as they value the art. This group joining the cryptocurrency world is a game-changer; Soulection is the largest drop on Sound.xyz, as they sonically enter this digital space with a bang.

Soulection produced a project called Untitled 001, a first of its kind to hit the blockchain via Soulection + Radio. Various producers, artists, designers and more creatives from the Soulection camp are featured on this hour-long project. Two women artists are featured as well, including Iman Europe. She got many flowers from Soulection member Andres, as he shouted her out for being a long-time friend, dope artist, and incredible Black woman. They both were in the Twitter space that held a countdown for the minting of Untitled 001 on Soulection Radio through Sound.xyz.

Artists like Soulection are flocking to web3

Sound.xyz is a suite for web3-native music and an economic tool that’s powering the next generation of artists and their communities, as their mission statement mentions. This platform is a notable space for artists who use NFTs, bridging the wealth gap within the music industry. Many upcoming artists have flocked to web3 to get better returns on their musical efforts. As Soulection’s AbJo said during the Twitter space, NFTs have turned the vicious music industry cycle into a harmonious one. He and other Soulection members took to the Twitter space stage to discuss this new venture and their love of grassroots creative models, which is exactly how Soulection is set up.

j.robb was highlighted during the conversation too, being that he is the artist with the most featured tracks on the project Untitled 001. His hunger and preparedness are exactly what Soulection hopes for in other members with an industry hurdle being overcome. Artists have a difficult time being paid adequately, having musical autonomy, and getting paid fast when releasing music in traditional models. This is why Souldeciton knows this ETH drop is so vital: they want to fuels their tribe as Joe said, and create more opportunities for all the talents within Soulection. And as mentioned before, Soulection has a loyal and engaged following. By the group keeping up with the digital times and providing as-usual quality music, they are able to enter a new space while keeping their original collective intentions.

Soulection sold their NFTs at 0.1 ETH with 333 available. Untitled 001 sold out within the hour of launching, 3:03 PCT. Like I said: a cult following. The people have always been checking for Soulection, and now they can come to find them in web3.
